Kew Village Market happens on the first Sunday of every month (except January). For KT6 Vocal Group it has become a last and a first... Back in February 2020 KT6 delivered a repertoire of songs to a throng of shoppers enjoying the first market of the year. Little did we all know it was KT6's last performance before the national lockdowns that began in March 2020. Fast-forward 16 months and KVM represents the completion of a circle as it was our first full performance in our new formation with our new musical director and an all new repertoire of songs. Having performances in our calendar is an important part of KT6's identity and the committee focus on trying to create a variety of opportunities for the members to shine. Performances are one of the few 'perks' of being a member of a choir, they give a focus to the work in rehearsals and a motivation to be as good as you possibly can be, including knowing the lyrics. KT6 have always prided ourselves on performing 100% 'off-copy' but in this growth phase of new repertoire, new members and new MD we have accepted that to give our members the opportunity to sing to an audience that in the short term we will sing some songs from the from the scores. We're now looking forward to reprising the same repertoire plus one or two more songs at the Surbiton Festival on the 24th September 2022. See our events page for more details...and hopefully see you there! Comments are closed.
