Anyone who is interested in joining us is invited for free taster sessions to enable you to meet the members and get a real taste for how we learn and enjoy our rehearsals. We want every singer to feel welcome but we realise not every choir is right for every singer and vice versa.
We are a small group of amateur singers with a selective joining process. During the taster sessions we will work with you to understand how your style, skills and experience align with us. There will be an assessment of your musical qualities during those rehearsals but you will not be asked to sing alone or in front of an audience.

This is what we're looking to find in new members:
- A desire to learn and develop as a musician and singer
- Previous experience of singing in a group or choir - it is not essential to have sung a cappella
- A focus on ensemble singing, our repertoire does not major on 'soloist with backing harmonies'
- A basic understanding of musical notation and following a score - no need to sight-sing, learning-by-ear is supported
- Commitment to regularly attending rehearsals and practicing at home
- A desire to perform and a willingness to support our performance calendar
After you submit the 'Request a Taster' form you will be contacted by a member of the committee to discuss your experience and your expectations of a vocal group. You will be given all of the information you need to attend your first rehearsal and get any questions you have answered.
