Is it possible to sing while your toes are numb?

29/11/2021

Yes...but it's pretty hard to turn the pages of your score if you can't feel your fingers! Read about our adventures in Wimbledon's Winter Weekender.
KT6 were delighted to have the opportunity to support 'Love Wimbledon's Winter Weekender' yesterday by singing our new Christmas repertoire in Wimbledon Town Centre as part of the festivities.
Bright blue skies bode well for the weather...they didn't offer rain, instead they brought a slow seeping cold that started at your toes and an icy wind that finished off your fingers. However, an opportunity to sing was too good to miss.
As we have only been meeting and rehearsing 6 weeks at this point we allowed ourselves scores to sing from and we had a repertoire of 6 songs including 'Stop the Cavalry' 'Little Drummer Boy' and 'Listen the Snow is Falling'.
It was such a joy to be able to to bring 8 singers out to perform and it was lovely to have a couple of former members and a new recruit supporting us in the audience of passers-by. We also met Santa, who was kind enough to walk a little up the road, whenever he felt it necessary to ring his bell!

After the singing we retired to a local pub and every-single-one of us chose a hot drink at the bar!

Here's to many more singing opportunities in 2022.
